PARAMOUNT PICKERS
↘273-13 Seongsu-dong 2-ga, Seongdong-gu, Seoul
Paramount Pickers is a vintage fashion brand that curates and sells a variety of American casual vintage clothing.
They opened their first offline store in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, and we were involved in the space and furniture design.
We designed the furniture to display a wide range of products, including vintage shirts, jeans, hats, bags, and more.
In particular, we incorporated fun and creative ideas into the furniture to allow for various displays of the main item,
hats, such as stacking, hanging, and placing them in different forms.

During the space design planning, we conducted an analysis of the psychology and aesthetics associated with people's consumption of vintage clothing. Firstly, we observed an inclination towards an image characterized by bold and rugged silhouettes, as opposed to refined lines or intricate details. We also encountered a wide array of vintage graphics that appeared as though they could be plucked from a comic book, accompanied by vibrant and eye-catching color palettes. Lastly, vintage clothing, while individually charming, often instilled a sense of contemplation regarding how to combine
them to create a more exquisite ensemble, and we aimed to capture these emotions within the space.
1. Central furniture for clothing display
This furniture features a design that combines a box-type shelf for storing pants with a structure for hanging hats.
2. Main POS (Point of Sales) furniture
This piece of furniture is designed with wooden planks joined and connected between three legs, providing a structure capable of supporting a metal tabletop.
We considered what finishing materials to use in order to create a vintage atmosphere. As a result, we opted for warm,
yet slightly rough-textured hardwood and designed the metal elements with direct grinding to give them a weathered look, allowing the passage of time to be visible in the design.
3. Hanger for stacking hats
This piece of furniture is designed with simplicity, using basic wooden materials. Its distinctive features include holes for hanging hats and a leg structure that allows it to stand on the floor.
